Message from your District Governor:

Dear Rotary Presidents, Club Leaders, and Fellow Rotarians,

The strength of Rotary lies in the hearts of its members — when we connect, we grow; when we serve, we inspire” _ Renga

It is with immense pride and a deep sense of optimism that I welcome you to the second edition of our District Bulletin for this Rotary year.

Over the past six weeks, our district leadership team, along with many of our Past District Governors, had the honour of attending numerous club changeovers. These events were not only celebrations of leadership transition but also a powerful platform to communicate our District "Hi-Five" message. I am delighted to share that the message has been well received across the district, and more importantly, many clubs have already started implementing it especially by inducting new members and strengthening efforts to retain current ones. This momentum is truly heartening!

Our presence at various Police Officer of the Year Awards across the regions allowed us to stand beside our clubs in recognizing the courage, dedication, and service of our law enforcement officers. These award ceremonies offered a wonderful opportunity to highlight Rotary’s ongoing commitment to acknowledging local heroes and building bridges between communities and those who serve them.

Just last weekend, I had the privilege of attending and presenting awards at the NSW Rotary Emergency Services Community Awards 2025, where various different emergency service agencies gathered to honour their best. These agencies are not just operationally essential they are truly inspirational in their service, and it was Rotary’s great honour to celebrate them.

In alignment with our Hi-Five action plan, we also successfully conducted our first "Post with Purpose" social media workshop in Dapto a sold-out event! It was exciting to see such enthusiasm, and we are now gearing up for our second workshop on Saturday, 16 August 2025.

As we continue through August Rotary Membership Month, I urge every club to fully embrace the spirit of:
Energize, Engage, and Expand!
Let’s make membership a movement by:
  • Bringing a friend to Rotary
  • Sharing inspiring member stories
  • Celebrating loyal Rotarians
  • Assigning mentors to new members
  • Keeping meetings engaging and flexible
These are not just checklist items they are part of a collective call to action that can transform our clubs and multiply our impact. Remember, whether your club was chartered 10, 15, or over 20 years ago, you are inheritors of a legacy. It is now our responsibility to build on that legacy and elevate it to the next level for our community to see, feel, and be inspired by.

Thank you for your continued commitment, leadership, and the incredible service you provide.  Together, let’s make 2025–2026 a year to remember!

In Rotary Service,
Renga Rajan
District Governor 2025–2026

RI Regional Office Resource Guide

In being intentional in implementing Rotary's Action Plan within our own spheres of influence, we have compiled this Resource Guide for your convenience.
These resources include ‘how-to’ guides, links to RI resources, along with guidelines on who to work with at Rotary when dealing with various issues.  We have attempted to organise these resources in a way that you will find quick and intuitive.
Our role here in the Regional Office is to support Rotarians to do good in the world.  If you find that there are additional Rotary resources to which you need easy access, please let us know.

RIWA

It's only one week until the RIWA Auction of Regifted Presents is taking place at the Native Rose Hotel, Rozelle.

Tickets are only $10 and you can buy your pub food and drinks at the bar.  The bonus is that you can optionally also donate items currently cluttering up your cupboards for a great cause!  Donations can include unused household items, clothing, handbags, jewelry, artworks, trinkets, games - it's amazing the gifts and purchases we accumulate that we don't need!

The flyer has a QR code for booking your seats and information on how to make a donation of auction items. There's plenty of parking nearby, and a bus stop in front of the pub - which is just a 7 minute drive or bus ride from the CBD.

We encourage your Rotary Club to book a table for your members/friends for a great night of fun - with all proceeds going to fund a scholarship for a female graduate GP undertaking a rural placement and serving a regional community in need.
