Launch of RIWA 2023
The Rotary Inspirational Women’s Awards were launched on 26 April 2022 on board the Windeward-Bound Youth Development Sail Training Vessel in Sydney Harbour.
The Hon Jodie Harrison MP, Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault said:“The 2023 Inspirational Women’s Awards shine a light on the incredible contributions of the quiet achievers in our communities. I strongly encourage the public to nominate a woman who is working to improve the lives of others whilst looking for no recognition themselves.
Every day across NSW, women are uplifting our communities, from supporting local sporting organisations, to health and social services and educational endeavours. The Awards are one way we can show women that we value their time, efforts and commitment to helping our communities thrive..”
Everyone knows at least one woman, irrespective of age and vocation, who excels by volunteering quietly, giving of her time to make a real difference to the lives of others. These women inspire others and are real role models.
